Frutas Prohibidas is our decaf coffee which comprises two lots: Fazenda Boa Esperança and El Dorado, both situated in Ibiraci, Alta Mogiana, and owned by Jean Vilhena Faleiros, whose family spans four generations of coffee expertise. The El Dorado Group underwent a transformation in 2010, shifting focus to specialty coffee, with a commitment to quality that earned them accolades, including winning the Alta Mogiana Competition and high rankings in the Cup of Excellence. Sustainability is at the heart of their ethos, exemplifying a harmonious relationship between responsible farming practices and exceptional coffee production. This lot is decaffeinated without the use of solvents: the green coffee beans are soaked in highly compressed CO2, which extracts the caffeine.
